The turquoise is what grabs your attention in this piece with it's unique coloring. It is set with eight stones from several different mines which creates the variety in the shades of blue. It is set in sterling silver and comes with a large bale to accomadate most chains. It is crafted in the traditional Navajo style of work. It measures 1 3/4 inches in height and 1 inch in width.

Turquoise gets its color from heavy metals that are present in the ground where it forms. Blue turquoise occurs when there is copper present, and where there is more iron present the turquoises is usually more green. The lack of any specific color consistency is what makes white turquoise so distinctive and unique from other turquoises. This is a larger piece of White Buffalo, which becoming more difficult to come by. This pendant was crafted by Paul Sanchez, a Navajo artist. He handcrafted a sterling silver setting designed to highlight the stone. It measures 2 inches in height and 1 1/4 inches at the widest point. The bale has a 3/8 inch opening to accomadate for a variety of chain styles.
